I'm so glad you have a blog. I'm a beginner runner in a sense that I've run all my life but only systematically this past year. I follow your career and your last year's performance in Greece was a-mazing! Good luck this year and I'm glad you're also racing in Europe (btw I'm from Finland).

I've read most of your interviews and listened to podcasts that you've been a apart of. You should put a 'donate' link via Paypal so we could help your running career in sport that isn't well recognized (money wise) but should be.

Take care,
Vesa

thanks for posting a link to that interview. being quite new to ultra running it's nice to hear some in depth discussion from someone with the experience and results that you've had over the years. i'm a lacto ovo pesco veg. and i sure got a kick out of some of your discussion about the progression from growing up "meat and potatoes" vs. where you're at now. i come from a VERY meat and potatoes family as well and it's been nice to have some of the successful races that i've had in the past year. My friends and family back home don't seem to question my diet as much anymore now that they see that it's not making me weak, unhealthy, and tired (and whatever other things uninformed people try to say will happen if you don't eat meat), but rather the opposite.
anyway, enough of all that. good luck in france.

Hi Scott,

I found your blog via Chihping Fu's blog today-it's awesome. I listened to that interview a few months ago, and ended up listening to it multiple times since it was so packed with great advice and inspiration. Keep it up and good luck at Mont-Blanc!

Hey Scott,

That interview was a lot of fun and I am definitely looking forward to doing a follow-up around Mont-Blanc. I'll give you a call next week and hopefully we can figure something out.

Anyways, good luck with the remaining training and I'll speak to you soon.

Take care,
Adam
