With a fresh new look and a brand new crew, publisher John Medinger, editor Tia Bodington, and manager Lisa Henson put together a fresh new UltraRunning Magazine. Keeping to the core of what it’s brought readers for decades, they’ve updated the look and added some color photography for this September issue. Looks great!

More than a race, this is a great cultural exchange celebrating the gift of running which has played an integral part of Raramuri culture. Running and foot travel have remained a part of daily life for these beautiful people. (more…)

Back in April, The Final Sprint posted an interview with me. Still very relevant with lots of good information, we talk in depth about Spartathlon, nutrition including vegan nutrition and eating while racing, training, and tips for new ultrarunners.

Endurance Planet posted an interview with me on their Monday July 30 edition. I am interviewed on my training, racing, nutrition, and media coverage on the sport of ultramarathoning.

My hometown paper, The Duluth News Tribune, wrote a piece on my race at Hardrock in their Sunday July 22 Sports section.

**Note it is stated I eat fish, which I do not. I believe this may have been misinterpreted from “fresh.”

The Durango Herald wrote a piece with some great photos on the 2007 Hardrock Hundred in their Sunday July 15th sports section.

The Denver Post also has a piece on the race, including finish line video and post race interview video, in the Tuesday July 17th sports section.

I’m honored to be recognized by Seattle Metropolitan as best “running coach” in their July 2007 “best of the city” issue. Check it out on page 96!
